If you’re building a personal brand or growing a business, one thing is always true, content isn’t optional. It’s how people find you, trust you, and decide if you’re the right fit. Yet for so many women business owners, content creation feels overwhelming, inconsistent, and often rushed.
That’s exactly why Content Days exist.
On December 13th, I hosted a Content Day here in Columbus, Ohio, bringing together six incredible women business owners for three intentional hours of strategy, creativity, and real-time execution. Let me just tell you, it was equal parts productive, powerful, and fun.
Why Content Days Matter for Personal Brands and Business Owners
Content Days aren’t just about taking photos or filming videos, they’re about building momentum through capturing and executing on strategic concepts.
When you’re visible online, you’re not just posting, you’re positioning yourself. Strategic content allows you to tell your story clearly, highlight your expertise, and stay top of mind long after someone scrolls past your post.
For personal brands and small business owners, Content Days provide:
- Fresh, relevant visuals that align with your current season of business
- Clarity around messaging and brand direction
- Content that supports launches, growth, and long-term goals
Instead of scrambling week to week for something to post, Content Days help you create with intention and purpose.
Directing, Brainstorming, and Bringing Ideas to Life
One of my favorite parts of the day was working hands-on with each woman to break down her vision. We didn’t just walk in with a shot list and hope for the best. We talked through concepts, refined messaging, and created real-time ideas to support each brand’s goals.
Watching six women step into their confidence while we translated big ideas into tangible content is the part of my job I never take for granted. The energy in the room was collaborative, supportive, and full of creativity.

Three Hours, Strategic Content for the Next Few Quarters
In just three hours, we were able to create strategic content designed to carry these businesses well into the next few quarters. The content we captured supported:
- Upcoming service launches
- New website launches
- A conference for leaders in the Columbus area
- A full business rebrand
This wasn’t filler content. Every image and clip had a purpose.
We worked in small groups and rotated through multiple spaces within the studio, allowing each brand to walk away with a variety of backdrops and visual styles. From clean and professional to warm and lifestyle-driven, every woman left with content that felt aligned and elevated.
Learning to Pivot, Create Bite-Sized Content, and Have Fun Doing It
A major focus of the day was learning how to break concepts down into bite-sized clips that could be repurposed across platforms. We also talked through how to pivot in the moment if an idea didn’t pan out, because flexibility is just as important as planning when it comes to content creation.
There were laughs, multiple bloopers, and plenty of moments where women helped one another refine ideas and execute them better. The room felt less like a photoshoot and more like a creative think tank.
And yes, we wrapped everything up just in time to get everyone home safely before the snowstorm rolled in, perfect timing!!

Content Created in Community Hits Different
What made this Content Day so impactful wasn’t just the content, it was the community. When women create together, ideas expand. Confidence grows. Execution becomes easier.
This day was proof that when strategy meets collaboration, the results speak for themselves.

Contrary To Popular Belief: Content Days Aren’t Just for Social Media!
One of the biggest misconceptions about Content Days is that they’re only about posting more on social media. In reality, Content Days are about building a visual foundation that supports your entire business.
The content created during a Content Day is designed to work everywhere your brand shows up! (I.E. your website, sales pages, email marketing, proposals, speaker materials, and client touchpoints). These visuals don’t just fill space, they increase clarity, credibility, and confidence in your brand, which directly impacts how people perceive your value and make buying decisions.
When your visuals are intentional and aligned with your business goals, they shorten the trust-building process. They help potential clients understand your expertise faster, feel more confident investing, and move from interest to action with less hesitation.
That’s the real return on investment. Content Days create assets that support launches, elevate positioning, and drive momentum long after the cameras are put away. This isn’t about keeping up with content trends, it’s about building a brand that works for you behind the scenes.
