Let's Chat About It

Send over a note and lets set up a time to chat about the potential photoshoot of your dreams!

To all my women biz owners and creative entrepreneurs, this one is for YOU!

Listen—your branding photoshoot is not just about looking cute in front of a camera. It’s about telling your brand story in a way that’s bold, scroll-stopping, and unapologetically YOU. Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur or just getting your glow-up started, your visuals should feel like a whole vibe. So let’s talk about how to show up and show out for your branding shoot. Here are 7 ways to absolutely crush it:

1. Plan Multiple Outfits—Because One Won’t Cut It

Your brand has layers, so your wardrobe should too. Bring at least one outfit variation—think different colors, textures, and vibes. Maybe one bold and edgy, and one soft and sleek. This gives your content mileage and keeps your visuals from feeling like a one-note photoshoot. We want range, honey!

2. Props Are Your Secret Weapon

Your tools of the trade? Bring them! Whether it’s a laptop, camera, beauty products, custom merch, or even your favorite coffee mug—it helps tell your story without saying a word. Props instantly connect your audience to what you do and make your content feel intentional and relatable. ✨

3. Switch Up Those Backdrops and add some pattern variation

Don’t settle for one bland corner of a room—get those angles, textures, patterns, and vibes in! Use everything available: the clean wall, the egg chair, the brick backdrop, the colorful railing, or that bold mural outside. The more variety you shoot in, the more versatile your content becomes. You didn’t come to be basic, and your backdrops shouldn’t be either.

4. Capture All the Photo Types

Let’s not just do headshots and call it a day. You need:

  • Lifestyle shots (you doing your thing)
  • Flat lays (your products or tools beautifully styled)
  • Headshots (for bios, press kits, and LinkedIn if you must )
  • Detail shots (the little things that make your brand pop)

This mix ensures your content stays fresh and works across all your platforms.

5. Be YOU. Loudly.

Seriously—have fun! Branding photos should reflect your personality, not suck the soul out of your brand. Laugh, dance, be goofy, be fierce—just be your authentic self.

That energy? It shows up in the photos, radiating with vibrancy and life that captivates your viewers. When you embrace your true self, it not only makes for stunning images but also creates a genuine connection with your audience. And trust me, your audience can sense the joy and freedom in those moments, drawing them in and making them want to experience that energy alongside you.

6. Know Your Content Goals

Before you step in front of the camera, ask yourself: What do I need this content for? Website? Launch? Socials? Ads? Email marketing?

Knowing this helps us shoot intentionally. It ensures you leave with the right formats, orientations, and storytelling visuals to plug into your brand strategy. Don’t wing it—plan to pop off.

7. Hire the Right Photographer (Yes, That Matters)

You need someone who doesn’t just “take pictures”—you need someone who gets your brand and knows how to translate it visually. Someone who hypes you up, knows the right angles, and sees your vision before the shutter even clicks.
